Volleyball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Chicago Mt. Carmel

Chicago Mt. Carmel lost to Marian Catholic back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Caravan walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Spartans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Caravan.

Chicago Mt. Carmel not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Marian Catholic between 17 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17.

Chicago Mt. Carmel pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Marian Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Chicago Mt. Carmel will welcome Fenwick at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Caravan are facing the Friars at the right time seeing as the Friars are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Marian Catholic, they will head out on the road to take on Niles Notre Dame at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dons will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
