Nation Ford won the last time they faced Northwestern and things went their way on Thursday too. The Falcons were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Trojans. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Nation Ford and bumps their season record up to 10-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Northwestern, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Nation Ford and Northwestern could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. The Falcons (ranked 35th) will meet Weddington (ranked first) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Northwestern will take on Catawba Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (119 vs. 1).
