Basketball Recap: Lake Region Comes Up Short

If Lake Region was riding high fresh off their 49-21 takedown of Waynflete last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lake Region Lakers fell 41-34 to the Yarmouth Clippers on Tuesday. The Lakers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Clippers earlier this season, when they won 55-50.

Lake Region has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Yarmouth, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Region will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Poland at 4:30 p.m. on February 1st. As for Yarmouth, they will square off against Fryeburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
