Volleyball Recap: Jordan-Matthews Comes Up Short

Jordan-Matthews was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Southwestern Randolph Cougars.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-9.

Cassidy Graves paced Jordan-Matthews' offense, picking up three kills. Graves got some help from Maggy Jaimes-Pulido and her seven assists. Jaimes-Pulido was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Jordan-Matthews' defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Southwestern Randolph, they pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Jordan-Matthews wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Eastern Randolph on the 23rd. As for Southwestern Randolph, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against North Moore on the 23rd.
