Volleyball Recap: Clarksville Triumphs

Clarksville posted their closest win since August 17, 2024 on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Yantis Owls 2-1. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Owls walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Keileigh Edwards paced Clarksville's offense, picking up 11 kills. Edwards really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. Mackenzie Gill and Yahiri Chavez kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Clarksville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Yantis, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarksville will welcome Alba-Golden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Yantis, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Trinity Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th.
