Football Game Preview: Rogers Pirates vs. Lexington Golden Bears + How To Watch

The Rogers Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the Lexington Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Rogers was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Elkmont on Friday. The Pirates simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Red Devils 62-28. The Pirates pushed the score to 56-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Red Devils had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lexington). They claimed a resounding 69-6 victory over Tharptown. The Golden Bears haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Lexington's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Rogers, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Everything went Rogers' way against Lexington in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Rogers made off with a 42-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
