Volleyball Recap: Bucklin Gets the Win

Bucklin won the last time they faced Meade and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Aces had just enough and edged out the Buffaloes 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Aces have posted against the Buffaloes since September 1, 2020.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Bucklin got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-17, 23-25, 25-21.

Tristan Stout paced Bucklin's offense, picking up eight kills. Stout got some help from Emmerson Kirk and her 21 assists. Stout also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Isabel Bowman, each putting up two.

Bucklin's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Meade, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Bucklin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Satanta on the 30th. As for Meade, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Spearville on the 23rd.
