Aptos has gone 9-0-1 against San Lorenzo Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mariners will take on the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Wednesday, Aptos came up short against St. Monica and fell 6-2.

Meanwhile, San Lorenzo Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Aptos.

San Lorenzo Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Aptos, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Aptos skirted past San Lorenzo Valley 3-1 in their previous meeting on Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mariners since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
