Basketball Recap: Elgin Comes Up Short

Elgin lost against West Aurora back in February of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Elgin Maroons were dealt a 64-9 defeat at the hands of the West Aurora Blackhawks. The matchup marked the Maroons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Elgin's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-17. As for West Aurora, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elgin will face off against Streamwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Aurora, they will challenge Bartlett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
