Softball Recap: Southmoreland Takes a Loss

Southmoreland lost against Mt. Pleasant two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Scotties fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 7-6. The Scotties have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southmoreland's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Mt. Pleasant, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southmoreland will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on May 5. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will take on Yough at 4:30 a.m. on Monday.
