Basketball Recap: Belleville East Piles Up the Points Against Granite City

Belleville East won the last time they faced Granite City and things went their way on Friday too. The Belleville East Lancers blew past the Granite City Warriors, posting a 69-36 win. The contest marked the Lancers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Granite City's loss came despite strong showings from Evan Brewer and Jack Dutko. Brewer made all 8 shots he took for 19 points and five rebounds, while Dutko posted five points. Brewer's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Belleville East's record is now 10-2. As for Granite City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Belleville East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-36 win against Lincoln on the 28th. As for Granite City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-47 victory against Mundelein on the 28th.
