Baseball Recap: Manistee Comes Up Short

Manistee scored first but ultimately less than Whitehall in their contest on Monday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The Mariners were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Manistee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Workman, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Manistee's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Whitehall, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-15.

Coming up, Manistee will head out on the road to take on Hart at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whitehall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mason County Central at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
