Soccer Recap: Cedar Valley Comes Up Short

Cedar Valley came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Mountain Ridge Sentinels, falling 6-3. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Cedar Valley struggled afterwards.

Olivia Jones and Makena Fullmer scored all three of Cedar Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Cedar Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Mountain Ridge, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cedar Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe Westlake at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge will square off against rival Salt Lake Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
