Football Game Preview: Winfield Pirates vs. Vinemont Eagles + How To Watch

Winfield has won eight straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Vinemont has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Pirates will welcome the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Winfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Vinemont likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Winfield humbled Hanceville with a 48-21 victory. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Vinemont unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against Oakman, falling 40-14.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Gabriel Herrera and Tyler Thomas. Thomas had a great game and gained 229 total yards and three touchdowns. Meanwhile, Herrera did his best for the losing side, rushing for 77 yards and one TD.

Vinemont's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Winfield, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Everything came up roses for Winfield against Vinemont when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-12 victory. In that matchup, the Pirates amassed a halftime lead of 28-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
