Soccer Game Preview: Lee vs. Beaumont United

The Lee Ganders will face off against the Beaumont United Timberwolves at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Lee fell victim to West Brook and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 8-0 to the Bruins.

Meanwhile, Beaumont United also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Barbers Hill on Friday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 702nd, while the Eagles are ranked 142nd).

Beaumont United has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's still a better percentage than their 1-11 record this season. Lee's loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Lee came out on top in a nail-biter against Beaumont United when the teams last played back in February, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lee since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
