Preview: Madison Mavericks vs. Johnson Jaguars
Madison is 2-8 against Johnson since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Madison Mavericks will take on the Johnson Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Madison focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, Madison came up short against Lee and fell 53-45.
Madison might have lost, but man, Caden Cooper was a machine: he scored 19 points along with five steals. Evan Moreno was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Johnson beat Lee 58-45 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Johnson.
Madison's loss dropped their record down to 22-13. As for Johnson, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-18 record this season.
Madison ended up a good deal behind Johnson in their previous matchup back in January, losing 73-54. Can Madison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
