Basketball Recap: Jace Litten Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Eagle Point

Churchill won the last time they faced Eagle Point and things went their way on Friday too. The Churchill Lancers walked away with a 63-53 win over the Eagle Point Eagles.

Churchill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jace Litten out in front who went 7 for 17 en route to 18 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Gutierrez, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points.

Churchill pushed their record up to 9-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Eagle Point, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Churchill will be playing at home against Springfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eagle Point, they will take on Thurston at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
