Basketball Game Preview: Adna Pirates vs. Mossyrock Vikings

Adna is 9-1 against Mossyrock since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Adna Pirates will be playing at home against the Mossyrock Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Monday, everything came up roses for Adna against Morton/White Pass as the team secured a 64-31 win. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Trevin Salme and Grayson Humphrey were among the main playmakers for Adna as the former went 7 for 15 on his way to 20 points and seven assists and the latter went 6 of 13 to rack up 15 points and three steals. The match was Salme's third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavan Muller, who posted five points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Mossyrock had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down Raymond/South Bend 70-55 on Saturday.

The victory made it two in a row for Adna and bumps their season record up to 17-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33 points. As for Mossyrock, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.

Everything came up roses for Adna against Mossyrock in their previous meeting last Friday, as the squad secured a 69-36 victory. In that contest, Adna amassed a halftime lead of 45-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
