Basketball Recap: Horse Creek Academy Comes Up Short

Horse Creek Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 62-10 loss at the hands of the Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stallions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-16 back in December of 2024.

Layla Sistare was Horse Creek Academy's leading scorer, having posted five points.

Horse Creek Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Hunter-Kinard-Tyler, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Horse Creek Academy has already played their next match, a 49-38 defeat against Calhoun County on the 28th. As for Hunter-Kinard-Tyler, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-36 win against North on the 25th.
