Chartiers Valley extended their winning streak  to five  on Monday, bumping their season record up to 8-3 in the process. They walked away with  an   8-4  victory over the Upper St. Clair Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  15-2  on Wednesday.
 Taylor Walsh made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  triple.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Delaney O'Connor, who  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Lily Duffill, who  went 1-for-2 with one  home run and two  RBI.
As for Upper St. Clair,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-5. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by  exactly four  runs.
 On Upper St. Clair's side,  Nora Stutzman and  Sydney Fisher did some serious damage despite the final result:  Stutzman  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, while  Fisher  went 1-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chartiers Valley will  square off against  rival South Fayette  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Upper St. Clair is set to  face off against  their familiar foe West Allegheny  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
