Basketball Recap: Douglas Takes a Loss

Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rapid City Central Cobblers. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 53-45 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Rapid City Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-10.

Douglas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-48 defeat against Spearfish on the 20th. As for Rapid City Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 85-81 loss against Sturgis Brown on the 20th.
