Basketball Game Preview: Mosinee Indians vs. Medford Raiders

The Mosinee Indians will head out to challenge the Medford Raiders at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Mosinee is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Mosinee didn't have quite enough to beat Neillsville and fell 55-52. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Warriors are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Medford unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by Lakeland and fell 65-32.

Medford's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-9. As for Mosinee, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Mosinee was able to grind out a solid victory over Medford in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 53-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mosinee since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
