Preview: Ira Bulldogs vs. Highland Hornets
Ira is 9-1 against Highland since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Ira Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Highland Hornets at 7:15 p.m. Ira is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Ira suffered their biggest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Westbrook 74-30. Ira was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-10.
Meanwhile, Highland had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene with a 41-37 win on Friday.
Ira's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Highland, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.
Ira came out on top in a nail-biter against Highland when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 44-41. Does Ira have another victory up their sleeve, or will Highland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
