Softball Recap: Lordstown Comes Up Short

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Lordstown was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They came up short against the Maplewood Rockets, falling 11-1. The Red Devils have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Lordstown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Maplewood, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Looking ahead, Lordstown will look to defend their home field on Monday against Grand Valley at 5:00 p.m. The Red Devils are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Maplewood, they are taking a road trip to challenge United at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rockets will need to watch out since the Golden Eagles have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
