Baseball Recap: Hampton County Takes a Loss

Hampton County lost against Bridges Prep last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 5-4. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hampton County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malik Terry, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Terry also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Charles Williams was another, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Hampton County's record is now 4-7. As for Bridges Prep, their record now sits at 10-5.

Coming up, Hampton County will be playing in front of their home fans against Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bridges Prep, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coastal HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
