Softball Recap: Kettle Run Comes Up Short

Kettle Run made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Fauquier, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cougars fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The Cougars have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Abi Martin was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Kettle Run's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Fauquier, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kettle Run will take on rival Warren County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Fauquier is set to face off against their familiar foe Brentsville District at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
