Basketball Game Preview: Fort Thomas Apaches vs. Holbrook Roadrunners

The Fort Thomas Apaches will face off against the Holbrook Roadrunners at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Thomas will be strutting in after a victory while Holbrook will be coming in after a loss.

Fort Thomas is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Duncan 65-38. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Apaches.

Meanwhile, Holbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 53-34 fall against Chinle.

Fort Thomas will need to focus on slowing down Channing Harrington, one of several Holbrook players who made an impact when they last played. She posted eight points in addition to five boards and three steals. Harrington is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Angelica Uranga was another key player, putting up six points.

Holbrook's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Fort Thomas, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Fort Thomas couldn't quite get it done against Holbrook in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 as they fell 63-54. Thankfully for the Apaches, Deya Guerrero (who shot 67% from beyond the arc to rack up 30 points and seven rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
