Volleyball Recap: Oregon-Davis Bobcats vs. Westville Blackhawks
Oregon-Davis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Westville Blackhawks. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blackhawks from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.
Leading Westville to victory were Myleigh Weaver and Alyssa Bechinske. Weaver had 25 digs, five kills, and three aces, while Bechinske had 12 digs and 11 kills. Weaver is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cameron Bietry, who had 15 digs.
Oregon-Davis' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Westville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Coming up, Oregon-Davis will venture away from home to face off against Culver Community at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Bobcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Westville, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Michigan City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
