It was a good run, but Nipomo unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Orcutt Academy Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Nipomo was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 20 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20.

Nipomo's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Orcutt Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Coincidentally, Nipomo and Orcutt Academy will both be playing Sanger West the next time they take the court. Nipomo will head out to face Sanger West at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Orcutt Academy will play them later in the day, at 3:30 p.m.
