Baseball Recap: Pennridge Comes Up Short

Pennridge fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Germantown Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rams have suffered since April 23, 2025.

Pennridge got a good showing from Liam Matijasick, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Pennridge saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Murray, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Pennridge has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-5 record this season. As for Germantown Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-9.

As of now, neither Pennridge nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
