Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marengo). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Durand Bulldogs 69-38. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Indians with their most commanding win of the season.

Marengo's win bumped their record up to 3-17. As for Durand, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Marengo and Durand could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Marengo (ranked 705th) will meet Richmond-Burton (ranked 327th) at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Marengo is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. Meanwhile, Durand will square off against Pecatonica at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 676 places (687 vs. 11).
