Baseball Recap: Weber Drops Season-High Score on Davis

Weber extended their losing streak to nine on Friday, dropping their season record down to 2-19 in the process. They lost 26-9 to the Davis Darts. On the bright side, the nine- run effort marked the Warriors' highest-scoring match to date.

As for Davis, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-6. The result was nothing new for the Darts, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Davis' part, they got a massive performance out of Owen Talbot, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Those four runs gave Talbot a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brody Mcguire, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two doubles.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Weber will square off against rival Syracuse at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Davis is set to take on their familiar foe Farmington at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Darts' favor as the team sits on nine straight wins at home while the Phoenix have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
