Softball Recap: Austin Triumphs

Austin's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Spring Woods Tigers a 9-0 shutout. Considering the Mustangs have won three contests by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Austin's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Spring Woods, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

Austin will venture away from home to take on Waltrip at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spring Woods, they will be taking part in a tournament against Cypress Park at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
