Volleyball Recap: Bunn Wildcats vs. Northern Nash Knights
Bunn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Northern Nash Knights. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September.
Bunn started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 25-18, 27-25, 25-21.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northern Nash to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maylee Garner, who had 14 digs, a kill, and 44 assists. Garner is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 25 or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Jones, who had 29 digs.
Bunn's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Northern Nash, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Bunn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northern Nash, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Southern Nash on the 15th.
