Baseball Game Preview: Bayou Academy Colts vs. Simpson Academy Cougars

For the second straight game, Bayou Academy will face off against Simpson Academy. The Colts will head out to challenge the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bayou Academy is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Bayou Academy heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Tuesday. They lost 10-4 to Simpson Academy.

For Simpson Academy's part, Barrett McKenney was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Kade Walker was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Simpson Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Simpson Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Bayou Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
