Volleyball Recap: Mid-Pacific Institute Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mid-Pacific Institute walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Punahou Buff n' Blue on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Owls as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 21-25, 25-20.

Mia Furoyama had an outrageously good game as she had 23 digs and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Mid-Pacific Institute's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Punahou, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-15.

As of now, neither Mid-Pacific Institute nor the Buff n' Blue have any future games scheduled.
