Basketball Recap: Sullivan East Takes a Loss

Sullivan East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were dealt a 63-24 loss at the hands of the Tennessee Vikings. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-10.

Tennessee's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jasmine Jones, who went 8 of 13 on her way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Wilhoit, who posted 11 points.

Sullivan East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Tennessee, they moved to 7-11 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sullivan East will welcome David Crockett at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. David Crockett knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Sullivan East likes a good challenge. Tennessee has already played their next match (against Elizabethton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
