Underclassman Caisyn Berg came into Thursday's match looking to prove herself and that's exactly what she did. She wasn't messing around on Thursday, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. The pitching appearance was her eighth straight with five or more strikeouts.

Berg's strong effort led Concord Academy over Hickory Grove Christian and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
