Volleyball Game Preview: Basic Wolves vs. Centennial Bulldogs

The Basic Wolves will take on the Centennial Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Basic comes in on three and Centennial on five.

Basic is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Green Valley, who was ranked 14th at the time (Basic was ranked fifth). The Wolves put the hurt on the Gators with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday.

While Basic won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-22.

Arbor View came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Centennial, but Ty Ahlstrom wouldn't allow it. The Bulldogs blew past the Aggies 3-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Ahlstrom, who had 18 digs and four assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last four times he's played.

While Centennial might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Arbor View scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 25-23.

Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 26-5. As for Basic, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.
