After a string of three wins, East Bakersfield's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Shafter Generals. The Blades were not able to make up for their defeat to the Generals from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

East Bakersfield's offense was headlined by Soraya Plata and Guadalupe Gonzalez, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Roxanna Ramirez and her three assists.

East Bakersfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-3-1. As for Shafter, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

East Bakersfield has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Foothill on the 30th. As for Shafter, they will be playing at home against South at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
