Softball Recap: Vancleave Bulldogs vs. St. Martin Yellow Jackets

Vancleave lost to St. Martin back in February of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Yellow Jackets by a score of 5-2.

Sophia Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Brianna Webster was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Peyton Steinwinder was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.
