Football Game Preview: Des Lacs-Burlington vs. New Town

New Town will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Des Lacs-Burlington at 7:00 PM. New Town come in off of four low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.

New Town have to be aching after a bruising 8-34 loss to Stanley last week.

Meanwhile, if Des Lacs-Burlington were riding high off their 49-0 takedown of Berthold/Our Redeemer's Christian/North Shore two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Des Lacs-Burlington found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-33 punch to the gut against Bishop Ryan.

Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contest, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
