Basketball Game Preview: St. Charles Pirates vs. Winfield Warriors

St. Charles and Winfield are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The St. Charles Pirates will head out to square off against the Winfield Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

St. Charles is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since January 9, 2024 last Friday. They took a blow against Liberty, falling 78-35.

Meanwhile, Winfield was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 47-41 to North Callaway.

Winfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for St. Charles, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

St. Charles was able to grind out a solid win over Winfield in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 52-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Charles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
