Volleyball Recap: Concordia Academy Comes Up Short

Concordia Academy was the 3-0 winner over Hill-Murray when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Beacons lost 3-0 to the Pioneers on Wednesday. The Beacons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Concordia Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Hill-Murray work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-20, 25-14.

Concordia Academy's offense was headlined by Ella Bohren and Evelyn Stage, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Piper Sutherland and her nine assists. Bohren was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Concordia Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Hill-Murray, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Concordia Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against New Life Academy on the 2nd. As for Hill-Murray, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against South St. Paul on the 25th.
