Flag Football Recap: Yuba City Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Yuba City extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-7. They took a blow against the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos, falling 40-7. While losing is never fun, the Honkers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 623rd, while the Raging Rhinos are ranked 194th).

As for Twelve Bridges, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5. The result was nothing new for the Raging Rhinos, who have now won seven games by 25 points or more so far this season.

Twelve Bridges' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Andee Truitt led the charge by rushing for 83 yards and one touchdown, while also catching one score. Truitt showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 64 yards. Lily Tetz was another key signal caller, throwing for 70 yards and three TDs.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Yuba City will square off against rival Del Campo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Twelve Bridges is set to challenge their familiar foe Placer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Raging Rhinos 10.1, the Hillmen 12.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
