Football Game Preview: Pendleton Bulldogs vs. Powdersville Patriots + Official Tickets

The Pendleton Bulldogs will challenge the Powdersville Patriots on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pendleton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 24-21 victory over Broome.

Pendleton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jorden Mattress and Dax Allen. Mattress is becoming a predictor of Pendleton's success: when he posts at least one interception the team is undefeated (and 3-5 when he doesn't). The Bulldogs got some further help from Trent Garner: he made 22 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Powdersville). They blew past Carolina Academy 66-0 on Friday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Pendleton now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Powdersville, their record now sits at 9-2.

Pendleton was dealt a bruising 35-7 defeat at the hands of Powdersville when the teams last played back in September. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bulldogs were down 21-0.
