Preview: Moore County Raiders vs. Culleoka Warriors
The Moore County Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Culleoka Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Moore County will be strutting in after a victory while Culleoka will be coming in after a loss.
Moore County's four-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Tuesday. They took down Forrest 54-40. The victory was just what Moore County needed coming off of a 83-39 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Culleoka pushed their score all the way to 62 last Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a tough 85-62 loss at the hands of Huntland. Culleoka has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Moore County's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Culleoka, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
Moore County strolled past Culleoka in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 70-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Moore County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
