Football Recap: St. Joseph's Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Joseph's Catholic lost against Mountain View Prep back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights were dealt a 66-27 defeat at the hands of the Stars. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

St. Joseph's Catholic's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sam Patterson, who gained 233 total yards and two touchdowns, and Mack Rambo, who rushed for 114 yards and a pair of scores. Patterson's longest reception was for an incredible 81 yards.

Mak Anderson had a dynamite game For Mountain View Prep., rushing for 153 yards and four TDs on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 269 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Juice Miller, who picked up 98 receiving yards and one score.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Joseph's Catholic fell to 2-1. As for Mountain View Prep, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

St. Joseph's Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-41 win against Pickens on the 12th. As for Mountain View Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 41-19 victory against Crescent on the 12th.
