Basketball Recap: Moberly Takes a Loss

Moberly lost against Hallsville back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Moberly Spartans were outmatched by the Hallsville Indians and fell 62-29. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Moberly's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Collin Knox, who posted eight points and ten boards, and Amar'E Hawkins, who had five points. Those ten rebounds gave Knox a new career-high.

Moberly moved to 4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Hallsville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moberly and Hannibal will compete for holiday cheer at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hallsville will take on Eugene in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hallsville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
