The Limestone Rockets will head out to challenge the East Peoria Raiders at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Limestone is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

East Peoria will be up against a hot Limestone squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Rockets' way against Freeport on Saturday as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

Landon Winter looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bryce Chapman and Dylan Bitner did most of the damage at the plate: Chapman scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Bitner scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That's the most hits Chapman has posted since back in March of 2024. James Reiley was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, East Peoria was able to grind out a solid win over Tremont on Saturday, taking the game 4-1.

Limestone's record now sits at 7-3. As for East Peoria, their record is now 7-2.
